Alison Crouse received her BA in art at the University of Vermont, her BFA in photography from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and her MFA in film from Temple University. Her narrative short A Song of Fishes is scheduled to screen at the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, The Iris Prize (Wales, UK), and will tour with the NextFrame Film Festival. Her documentary “Farewell, Silk City” was a regional finalist for the Student Academy Awards and screened as part of the Philadelphia Film Festival and the Northampton Independent Film Festival. It made its broadcast debut in April 2009 on Philadelphia’s MiND network. She is the recipient of a Cine Motion Picture Award, received a Ben Lazaroff Screenwriting Scholarship for her script A Song of Fishes, and was recently honored with a subsidy grant from the Philadelphia Independent Film and Video Association. Alison was the recipient of Temple University’s Completion grant in 2008.
